• Check PFCU display for any active alarms.
• Check the alarm log for the history of alarms since the last service.
• Check the ventilation of the PFCU cabinet. Inspect fans for free movement and investigate noisy operations. Remove and clean air filters where fitted.
• Check PFCU room ventilation.
• Check and record measurements:
  • Line Voltage, Frequency, Current.
  • Reactive power, apparent power, and active power.
  • Output Voltage, Frequency, Current.
  • Third harmonic Voltage and Current, Total harmonic distortion.
  • Record ambient temperature and temp of individual components
• Visually inspect UPS unit inside and out for excessive noise, heat or other apparent signs of deterioration of equipment, power components and terminals, and record findings.
• Visually check batteries for swelling, cracking, leaking, corrosion and evidence of loose connections and hot joints.
• Thermally scan all accessible connections and components.
• Shut down and isolate the unit.
• Physically check all electrical connections for tightness.

• Restart PFCU, manually step through capacitor banks and measure the current of each step.
• Return PFCU to AUTO operation.
